The 2026 Premier Lacrosse League playoffs are here!

    Editor’s Picks

TCO Stadium in Minneapolis will host the quarterfinal round this weekend, with the Denver Outlaws squaring off against the California Redwoods in the West, while the Maryland Whipsnakes take on the Boston Cannons in the East.

The Utah Archers await the winners in the West, while the Philadelphia Waterdogs will take on the winner of Whipsnakes-Cannons.

Read on for details on each game, including how to watch, storylines and key stats courtesy of the PLL.

As a reminder, fans can catch all the action in the ESPN App and in the PLL streaming hub.

    PLL home | Standings

W2 California Redwoods vs. W3 Denver Outlaws

    Saturday, 6 p.m. ET

    Game preview

    Injury report:

Redwoods: LSM Arden Cohen out (PUP list), SSDM Chris Merle questionable (left hamstring), A Wes Berg out (PUP list)
Outlaws: D Ben Randall out (right quad), D Michael Manley doubtful (right hip/left groin)

    Redwoods

Chris Kavanagh led the Redwoods in scoring this season (34 points) while suiting up for only 10 games. He’ll be a key cog in California’s offense, which hopes to have a better outcome than last year’s 12-7 playoff defeat to Denver.

Veteran goalie Dillon Ward has been the Redwoods’ starter for much of the year and has won titles both in the PLL/MLL and internationally. Rookie Ryan Croddick won an NCAA title with Princeton this year, and has been solid when called upon. Who gets the nod on Saturday?

    Outlaws

The Outlaws are poised to have their four Tewaaraton Award winners back in action, with Pat Kavanagh and Jared Bernhardt returning to the field. There’s a lot of pressure on the group, as Denver has a small army of pending free agents on the roster (including Kavanagh, Bernhardt, Ryan Terefenko, Ryan Piseno and JT GIles-Harris).

The Outlaws also have a decision to make in goal, as coach Tim Soudan will have to make a call between Logan McNaney — reigning Oren Lyons Goalie of the Year — and Owen McElroy.

E2 Boston Cannons vs. E3 Maryland Whipsnakes

    Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET

    Game preview

    Injury report:

Cannons: SSDM Marquez White IR (ACL tear), M Ryan Drenner out (PUP list)
Whipsnakes: SSDM Eric Kolar out (left knee), FO Matthew Paolatto out (PUP list), LSM Colin Squires out (PUP list), SSDM Payton Rezanka out (PUP list), FO Petey LaSalla questionable (left ankle), G Shun Ito out (unavailable to travel), FO Joseph Nardella out (PUP list)

    Cannons

Boston will get star midfielder Matt Campbell back in the lineup following an extended absence (out since June 6). What can the reigning Gait Brothers Midfielder of the Year bring on Saturday?

Veteran attack Marcus Holman continues to chase the all-time goals record, currently held by John Grant Jr. Holman enters the weekend with 387 goals to Grant’s 393.

    Whipsnakes

Rookie Joey Spallina didn’t win a title at Syracuse, but he’s got a shot to win a title in his first season in the PLL following a superb debut campaign. Spallina finished the regular season with 36 points, which is the fourth most all time in a player’s first season — only Brendan Nichtern (38 in 2022), TJ Malone (37 in 2024) and Chris Kavanagh (37 in 2025) scored more as a rookie.

As you can see from the Whipsnakes’ injury report, they’ve had to employ a number of faceoff specialists this season. The latest is Nathan Kapp, who was signed late in the season and went 13-for-23 against Philly’s Alec Stathakis in his debut. He’ll face a tough task in this contest going against Cannons rookie Andrew McMeekin, who set a franchise single-season record for faceoff percentage (62.5%).
