A recent study identifies the most in-demand remote jobs, offering $100,000-plus yearly wages.
10 Remote In-Demand Jobs Offering Six-Figure Salaries
FlexJobs analyzed job postings from more than 60,000 companies to identify which remote roles employers have been recruiting for most consistently. The study shows the remote roles companies have been hiring for most between January 1 and May 21, 2026, offering average salaries of $100,000 or more, according to Paysale.
According to Keith Spencer, career expert at FlexJobs, these findings—ranked from highest to lowest salary–reflect where strong demand for high-paying remote talent exists today.
1. Senior Sales Manager ($165,000)
A senior sales manager leads a company’s sales strategy, oversees sales teams and drives revenue growth by building strong customer relationships and expanding business opportunities. The role combines leadership, business development, strategic planning and performance management.
Senior sales managers are responsible for helping organizations meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring the sales team operates efficiently and aligns with the company’s broader goals.
2. Software Engineer ($139,000)
A software engineer designs, builds, tests and maintains computer software and digital systems that people and organizations use every day. They apply engineering principles, programming skills and problem-solving techniques to create applications, websites, operating systems, mobile apps, databases and cloud-based platforms.
They work across nearly every industry—from healthcare and finance to entertainment, retail and artificial intelligence. Their job is not only to write code but also to develop efficient, secure and user-friendly systems that solve real-world problems.
3. Data Engineer ($123,000)

He adds that the demand also means applicants are often competing against a much larger talent pool than they would for a traditional in-office role.
Given these findings and the increased competition, Spencer points out that a more targeted and strategic approach to the job search is becoming more and more important. “Ultimately,” he says, “Standing out in a competitive remote hiring market is less about applying to as many jobs as possible and more about clearly communicating relevant value to the right audience.”
