50 Cent & Eminem Courtside Reunion!!! Published May 13, 2026 6:50 PM PDT 50 Cent and Eminem just gave fans a full on nostalgia moment … reuniting courtside in Detroit like it was the early 2000s all over again. The hip-hop heavyweights and longtime friends were spotted at Little Caesars Arena for Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals Tuesday night, where the Detroit Pistons battled the Cleveland Cavaliers. 50 and Em were seen laughing, chopping it up, and soaking in the action and once they hit the jumbotron, the crowd erupted with social media quickly following suit over…
Let us all rise to acclaim the local shop, the little independent establishment that always seems to have exactly what you went in for. These places are not many in number, so we must be sure to celebrate those that remain with us. Their prices might – might – be a little higher than a bloated multiple owned by some faceless private equity operation, but surely, if this is the case, it is a price worth paying.I find most shopping rather like watching my football team – a reliable source of disappointment. It’s not that I’m a particularly exacting customer.…
This excerpt was originally published in Pre Shift, our newsletter for the hospitality industry. Subscribe for more first-person accounts, advice, and interviews.Everyone needs a convenient, accessible place to socialize. But maintaining a cafe, bar, restaurant, or hybrid space that fits the bill has its challenges. In this three-part series, we’re partnering with Spectrum Business to put a spotlight on third spaces and how their operators make them work.Something I’ve noticed about third spaces—loosely defined as accessible community hubs—is that they tend to take a hybrid approach, like all-day cafes or bars centering an activity, whether it’s playing cards or line…
The final stragglers testified on Wednesday in the Musk v. Altman trial. The witnesses generated few waves, aside from the revelation that Microsoft has so far spent over $100 billion on its partnership with OpenAI. Rather than focus on that, I wanted to bring you a candid observation that my colleague Maxwell Zeff and I can’t stop talking about after spending nearly three weeks watching the trial. The courtroom is littered with butt cushions.Several of the hard, wooden benches on the right side of US district Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers’ courtroom are reserved for OpenAI and Microsoft’s attorneys, executives, and other…

Cerebras Systems, a maker of artificial intelligence chips, priced its IPO at $185 a share on Wednesday, above the expected range, according to a statement. The deal comes as investors gear up for what’s expected to be a very busy year for new AI offerings. The IPO reeled in $5.55 billion for Cerebras, which is hitting the market during a silicon renaissance. Intel, Advanced Micro Devices and memory maker Micron are each up more than 80% in the past month, and have notched much more dramatic gains over the past year as investors spread their chip bets from Nvidia to…
There might be a shrinking share of remote jobs, but it’s still possible to find work-from-home opportunities — if you know where to search. On Tuesday, FlexJobs, a membership service for remote jobseekers, released its annual list of the top 100 companies hiring remote jobs in 2025, taking into account some 60,000 companies who listed their openings on the site between Jan. and Dec. 2024. FlexJobs saw a 20% increase in the number of remote job listings in 2024 over 2023, returning to growth levels last seen in 2022. About 70% of listings are for jobs at an intermediate or…

James Franco is enjoying date night in France. The Interview actor stepped out during Cannes Film Festival alongside his longtime girlfriend Izabel Pakzad to attend the May 12 screening of The Electric Kiss. For the occasion, James, 48, wore a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, opting to wear black sunglasses against the sun for much of the carpet. At his side, Izabel, 30, donned a sleek black dress which she styled with a thick silver necklace and open-toed heels, her long hair loose. While James and Izabel—an actress and filmmaker—have been dating since 2017, they’ve brought their romance to public…
When I worked at River Cottage HQ, we used to smoke duck, rabbit and fish in a smoker made out of an old bread bin. It always felt like an exciting and alchemical way to cook, yielding incredible results, and it’s so simple, not least because food has been smoked since we first learned to cook over fire. Today’s recipe is my simple take on Chinese zhangcha duck, River Cottage-style and with a zero-waste twist by using spent teabags as the perfect fuel.Tea-smoked duckIt was always fun cooking at River Cottage: in between cooking lunch for our guests, we’d do…
