Remote jobs may be harder to land than they were a few years ago, but some roles are still paying extremely well. A new report from Resume Genius analyzed nearly 80,000 remote job listings to identify the highest-paying remote roles hiring in 2026, with the top 10 careers averaging six-figure salaries and one reaching $300,000.

“The highest-paying remote jobs tend to involve specialized expertise, digital collaboration or consultative work that doesn’t depend on being physically present,” said Nathan Soto, career expert at Resume Genius.

Here’s a look at the remote jobs that pay $100,000 and over in 2026.

    1. Psychiatrist

    • Average listed remote salary: $300,000

    • Typical entry-level education: Doctoral or professional degree

Psychiatrists diagnose, treat and help prevent mental disorders. Thanks to the rise of telehealth, many services can be delivered to patients virtually.

    2. Engineering Manager

    • Average listed remote salary: $181,150

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Engineering managers oversee the planning, direction and coordination of work in the engineering field. Because the work is typically centered on cloud environments, automated systems and monitoring tools, it can usually be done remotely.

    3. Product Designer

    • Average listed remote salary: $145,334

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Product designers shape how digital products look and function from the user’s perspective. They design interfaces, map user flows and refine experiences based on feedback. Because much of this work relies on shared tools and asynchronous collaboration, it’s well-suited for remote work.

    4. Enterprise Account Executive

    • Average listed remote salary: $140,000

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Enterprise account executives sell products or services to large organizations. While some relationship-building benefits from in-person meetings, most core tasks — including outreach, presentations, negotiations and account management — can be done remotely.

    5. Product Manager

    • Average listed remote salary: $138,400

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Product managers guide how a product is built by balancing business goals, customer needs and what teams can realistically deliver. The role relies heavily on written communication, clear planning and cross‑team alignment, regardless of where the members of the team are located.

    6. Software Engineer

    • Average listed remote salary: $138,000

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Software engineers design, build and maintain the applications and systems behind digital products. Their work is highly tool‑driven and often self‑directed, even within large teams, making it well-suited to remote work.

    7. Data Scientist

    • Average listed remote salary: $131,200

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Data scientists analyze data to help organizations identify trends, uncover opportunities and make better decisions. The work is entirely computer‑based and doesn’t require a shared physical space.

    8. Data Engineer

    • Average listed remote salary: $130,000

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Data engineers build and maintain the systems that collect, organize and prepare data for other teams to work with. Because the work is closely tied to cloud platforms and online infrastructure, it doesn’t require a physical workplace.

    9. DevOps Engineer

    • Average listed remote salary: $129,688

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

DevOps engineers maintain the infrastructure and processes that help software teams build, test and release products reliably. Their work centers on cloud environments, automation and monitoring tools, so it can be done remotely.

    10. Product Marketing Manager

    • Average listed remote salary: $129,600

    • Typical entry-level education: Bachelor’s degree

Product marketing managers define how a product is positioned and communicate its value to the target customers. The role combines research, writing and close collaboration with product, sales and design teams — much of it driven by shared documents rather than real‑time interaction.
