Nordstrom’s annual anniversary sale is in full swing, and if you’ve been dreaming of upgrading your kitchen to the Nice Stuff, this may be your opportunity. Alongside deals on Wüsthof knives and Le Creuset’s Dutch oven, the retailer has marked down the Our Place Large Wonder Oven Pro from $325 to $242.99 until 9 August.

Over two months, they cooked french fries, salmon, chicken wings, nuggets, broccoli and cookies in 10 different air fryers.

The Our Place Wonder Oven impressed the testers over and over. “It ranked highly in many of our tests, putting out crispy fries and nuggets,” they wrote. In fact, when they used a texture analyzer to measure crunchiness, the Wonder Oven landed in third place for crispiest fries. (The Cosori Iconic Stainless Steel and Typhur Dome 2 won first and second, respectively.) It also had a “great oven function” that produced “evenly baked cookies with the perfect chew”.
And if aesthetics are important to you, it has a lovely retro look, sort of like an Easy-Bake Oven all grown up. The researchers called it “by far the most eye-catching air fryer we tested”, a true “countertop centerpiece”.
With a 32qt capacity, the machine isn’t small, but it earns its countertop space by replacing several other tools. It bakes, broils, toasts, reheats, roasts, proofs dough and dehydrates. Plus, it’s made without Pfas “forever” chemicals.
There’s one catch worth knowing upfront: cleaning takes a bit of time. “Grease splattered around the heating elements and removing it took a large amount of effort,” Drexel’s team noted. “Keep up with the cleaning and keep an eye out for splatters before you run your next batch.” Using the included baking pan under the air fryer basket can also catch drips before they become a chore.
